Roast Level: Medium high
The bean has been roasted to a point where it has a richer body and slightly less acidity than a standard medium roast, while still retaining some of the original bean characteristics and avoiding excessive bitterness associated with very dark roasts
Notes: Chocolate, caramel, almond
Not to worry for anyone with nut-allergies! None of these ingredients are added to the coffee. Esme’s coffee has no added ingredients. These are simply some of the perceived flavors you may experience when sipping on this classic roast
Process: Washed
The most standard practice for coffee roasting. This is a method of coffee processing where the coffee cherry's fruit is removed immediately after picking, then the beans are fermented in water, followed by a thorough washing with water before drying
Variety: Castillo
This is a coffee variety that is native to Colombia and is known for its smooth taste, aroma, and balance of acidity and sweetness. It is a cross between Caturra and a hybrid of Timor, and is the most common coffee grown in Colombia
Region: Quindío, Colombia
This is the traditional coffee region of Colombia, where we ensure the highest standards and quality when growing our beans
Single Origin
AKA - this is not a blend. There is only one type of coffee bean in our bags
